Description

These Chili Lime Shrimp Wraps are bursting with flavor and make for a delicious and easy-to-assemble meal. Succulent shrimp marinated in a zesty chili lime mixture, wrapped in a warm tortilla with crisp veggies, creamy avocado, and a hint of tangy sour cream or Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

Scale

Marinated Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
  3. Prepare the Wraps: Warm the tortillas. Layer each tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, avocado slices, and shrimp. Add sour cream or Greek yogurt if desired. Roll up tightly and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute corn tortillas for a gluten-free version.
  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a spicy mayo drizzle.
  • Grilled shrimp can be used for a smoky flavor.
