Chocolate Turtle Pie:

  • 1 prepared chocolate cookie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • whipped cream and extra pecans for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Sprinkle the toasted pecans evenly over the bottom of the chocolate cookie crust.
  2. Add Caramel Layer: Warm ¾ cup of the caramel sauce slightly and pour it over the pecans, spreading it into an even layer. Chill the crust in the fridge.
  3. Make Chocolate Filling: Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Pour over the chilled caramel-pecan layer.
  4. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours. Before serving, drizzle with remaining caramel sauce and garnish with whipped cream and pecans if desired.
