Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- additional butter for greasing the pan
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and place popover pan or muffin tin in the oven while it heats.
- Mix Batter: Whisk eggs and milk until frothy. Add flour, salt, and melted butter; stir until smooth with some lumps.
- Grease Pan: Carefully grease hot pan with butter. Fill each cup halfway with batter.
- Bake: Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes, then reduce to 350°F without opening oven, and bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Release Steam: Pierce sides of popovers with a knife. Serve hot.
