Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • additional butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and place popover pan or muffin tin in the oven while it heats.
  2. Mix Batter: Whisk eggs and milk until frothy. Add flour, salt, and melted butter; stir until smooth with some lumps.
  3. Grease Pan: Carefully grease hot pan with butter. Fill each cup halfway with batter.
  4. Bake: Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes, then reduce to 350°F without opening oven, and bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden.
  5. Release Steam: Pierce sides of popovers with a knife. Serve hot.

Notes
