Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and cotton candy extract until combined.
- Mix the Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Tint and Swirl Dough: Divide the dough into two portions, tinting one with pink food coloring and the other with blue. Gently swirl or marble the two doughs together without overmixing.
- Add Mix-Ins: Fold in white chocolate chips or sprinkles if desired.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
