  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the chicken: In a skillet, sear chicken until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. Sauté aromatics: Sauté onion, then garlic. Add rice and toast.
  4. Add liquids: Pour in broth, creams, thyme, salt, and pepper. Nestle chicken in the mixture.
  5. Simmer: Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked.
  6. Optional cheese: Add cheese in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
