For the Cake:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Additional:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- nonstick cooking spray
- optional toppings like whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of a 6-quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
- Mix the Batter: In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, milk, sour cream, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add Batter to Crockpot: Pour the batter into the crockpot, spread evenly, and top with chocolate chips.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2.5 to 3 hours until edges are set and center is gooey.
- Serve: Let it sit for 10–15 minutes before serving with toppings of choice.
