Ingredients
Scale
Pancake Batter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Decoration:
- butter or oil for cooking
- sliced bananas
- strawberries
- blueberries
- whipped cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Pancake Batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Cook the Pancakes: Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour batter into the pan to form one large circle (the bunny’s head), two medium ovals (ears), and three small circles (feet and tail). Cook each pancake for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Assemble the Bunny: Arrange the pancakes on a plate to form a bunny shape: place the large pancake as the head, two ovals at the top for ears, two small circles at the bottom for feet, and one in the center for the tail. Decorate with banana slices for paw pads, blueberries for toes, and whipped cream for the tail. Add strawberry slices or more fruit around the plate for extra color and fun.
Notes
- This is a great recipe for kids to help decorate.
- You can use chocolate chips or raisins for eyes if making a full bunny face.
- To make the pancakes ahead, store them in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a toaster or microwave.
