- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make brownie layer: Melt 1/2 cup butter, then mix in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Pour into prepared pan.
- Prepare cookie layer: Cream butter with sugars, then mix in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to wet mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake: Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over brownie batter. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden. Cool before slicing.
