- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry: Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in diced apples.
- Make swirl mixture: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Layer batter and swirl mixture: Pour half the batter into the pan, sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mix, add remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mix. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
