Chocolate Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable shortening
Instructions
- Prepare Cookie Dough: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract. Gradually add heat-treated flour and condensed milk, alternating between the two, mixing until smooth. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
- Assemble Bars: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the pan.
- Make Chocolate Topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.
- Chill and Serve: Pour melted chocolate over the cookie dough layer. Spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
