Ingredients
Scale
For the Panna Cotta:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 3 tablespoons cold water

For topping:
- Optional fresh berries or fruit sauce
Instructions
- Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5–10 minutes.
- Heat the Cream Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Add Gelatin and Flavor: Remove from heat, stir in bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Add vanilla extract and stir.
- Chill and Serve: Pour mixture into ramekins or glasses. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set. Serve chilled, topped with berries or fruit sauce.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk for cream and almond milk for whole milk.
- To unmold, briefly dip ramekins in warm water and invert onto a plate.
