Description

Ingredients

For the Panna Cotta:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For topping:

  • Optional fresh berries or fruit sauce

Instructions

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Heat the Cream Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. Add Gelatin and Flavor: Remove from heat, stir in bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Add vanilla extract and stir.
  4. Chill and Serve: Pour mixture into ramekins or glasses. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set. Serve chilled, topped with berries or fruit sauce.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk for cream and almond milk for whole milk.
  • To unmold, briefly dip ramekins in warm water and invert onto a plate.
