Steak:
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 oz cremini or white mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Asparagus:
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for asparagus)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Steaks: Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until desired doneness. Rest.
- Make Mushroom Sauce: Cook mushrooms in butter, add garlic, then broth. Stir in cream, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Roast Asparagus: Toss asparagus in olive oil, roast until tender-crisp. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
