- ½ cup strawberry jam or preserves
- ½ cup diced fresh strawberries
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional:
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar or drizzle of glaze
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix filling: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Prepare pastry: Roll out the puff pastry into a 10×12-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture, then strawberry jam, and diced strawberries.
- Roll and slice: Roll the pastry into a log, slice into 8 pieces, and place cut side up on the baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar or glaze.
