Scale
Ingredients:
- 1 block (8 oz) feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
- toasted pita or crusty bread for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare feta: Place the feta block in a small oven-safe baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
- Make glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Coat feta: Spoon the glaze evenly over the feta.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the feta is soft and warmed through.
- Finish: Remove from oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh herbs. Serve immediately with toasted pita or crusty bread for scooping.
Notes
- For a creamier spread, bake feta in a covered dish, then mash gently with a fork before serving.
- You can adjust the heat by adding more or less gochujang. This also pairs beautifully with sliced cucumbers or roasted vegetables.
