- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Serving:
- 1 head butter lettuce or romaine leaves, washed and separated
Instructions
- Prepare the Turkey Filling: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook ground turkey until no longer pink. Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in carrots, green onions, and water chestnuts. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Assemble the Wraps: Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce leaves. Serve immediately.
